Pros The Slumberjack 2 Person Trail Tent is one with an extra-large fly which covers the whole tent, thus providing total rain coverage. This tent is a relatively cheap one, you are getting good value for your buck if you decide to purchase this tent.
Cons The floor of the tent is not completely waterproof. Moisture will leak through if you set up the tent without putting down a tarp first.

The Slumberjack 2 Person Trail tent is a double wall tent. Half of the inner wall is made of polyester, but the other half is made of mesh. The great part about the mesh is that you get a great view out of the tent if you remove the water resistant fly. The tent comes with poles made of fiberglass. The mesh wall provides great ventilation, which prevents condensation from building up inside the tent.
The tent has a free-standing design. This means that if you pull the stakes out of the ground you can lift the tent up and carry it to another place. The tent comes with stakes made of steel and poles made of fiberglass. The steel stakes make up most of the weight of the tent.
The Slumberjack 2 Person Trail tent is easy to set up thanks to the color-coded clip construction, which means that the fly, the vestibule and the pole attachments are color-coded to make the tent easy to set up. It sets up in less than five minutes.
There are two side-pockets on the inside, which is great for storing a flashlight in case you need to visit a tree during the night. If you are looking for more room to pack your stuff in you need to purchase a universal internal gear loft, that can be attached to the top of the dome.
It is big enough to fit two full-grown adults. Obviously it is more than comfortable for one man and his gear. Even if two people use the tent at the same time, their shoes, gear and backpacks can be stored in the vestibule.
Unfortunately the floor of the tent can absorb moisture. If the ground is wet under the tent when you set it up, moisture will appear on the inside of the tent floor. However this problem can be dealt with if you use a footprint or a tarp or apply a waterproofing spray.
This tent is too heavy for backpacking. This waterproof tent weights 6 pounds (2.72 kg) in a packed state. It is 84 x 52 x 41 inches (2.1 x 1.3 x 1 meters) big in an assembled state. The bulk of the weight is in the stakes. If you are backpacking with another person you can share the weight with him/her, however you can transform the Slumberjack 2 person trail tent by replacing a few heavy parts.

First, you need to replace the stakes with aluminium tent stakes. You can purchase aluminium tent poles from the Ledge company store. The Ledge Scorpion Tent has aluminium tent poles in the same size.
Conclusion
The Slumberjack 2 Person Trail tent is unfortunately too heavy for backpacking. You need to put down a tarp under it if you don’t want moisture to leak through the floor of the tent. Even though you will have to invest in a tarp, the Slumberjack 2 Person Trail tent is a value purchase.
